How has being a Physics graduate from Duke helped shape you personally and/or professionally?
"In every way! The Duke network has been huge for me. I feel like I have my job at UNC because of it. I also believe that it helped me to get my top residency choice. I am still very active in the Duke medical physics community (volunteer for random things, am a medical physics alumni board member, etc.)"
What advice would you give students in Duke's Physics programs?
"Create connections! Create a relationship, even if it's a small relationship, with everyone you encounter through your time at Duke. They may end up being that important person who will give you a job someday. Also, consider medical physics! It's an awesome career in physics where you can apply your nuclear physics knowledge to help people in a medical setting. It's super cool."
