Prof. Kotwal Served at 2019 Annual Meeting of the Division of Particles and Fields

Ashutosh Kotwal

Prof. Ashutosh Kotwal served as co-convener of the Higgs and Electroweak Physics Sessions at the 2019 Annual Meeting of the Division of Particles and Fields of the American Physics Society. The meeting was held at Northeastern University, Boston from July 29 through August 2. Over three days, the Higgs and Electroweak Session hosted speakers from the LHC and Tevatron experiments, theorists and representatives of future collider study groups. The results presented are consistent with the Standard Model of the Higgs and Electroweak interactions. Higher precision results are expected from the LHC and the Tevatron from the analysis of larger datasets. Planning is underway at CERN and in China for a new Higgs, W and Z boson factory using colliding electron and positron beams, which would increase the precision by a factor of 10 to 100 beyond the LEP, Tevatron and LHC precision.
